Think outside the box  when looking for other ways to donate to the church. The offering plate is a great place to start, but there are several other ongoing fundraising efforts in place at Almena United Methodist Church. Following are a brief description of them and directions to getting involved. Fill out our inquiry form if you have any further questions.

Meijers Community Rewards Program

Meijer Community Rewards was developed to meet our customers' growing desire to support k-12 schools and religious groups in ways that don't stretch their budget...or their time.

Enrolled members shop Meijer, simply paying with cash, PIN-based debit card or linked Meijer Credit Card. Purchases made with a linked Meijer Credit Card earn 1%. Purchases made with cash or PIN-based debit card and a swiped Meijer 1 Card^SM earn 0.5%.

Each year, at least 6% of Meijer net profits go toward overall community giving - one of the highest percentages in the retail industry!

DIRECTIONS TO PARTICIPATE: Visit any Meijer and pick up, complete and submit a Community Rewards Program. Or, visit Meijers Community Rewards Program and complete the online application.  NOTE: You'll need to know our church code which is 442519.

Spartan Stores - Cash for Labels

Throughout their 85-year history, Spartan Stores have been committed to giving back to the communities and people who support them. They have created a way for non-profits like us to earn cash. 

It's an easy way to earn money for your non-profit group. Clip and collect UPC symbols from Spartan brand products and earn 2¢ per label (in bundles of 1,000).

DIRECTIONS TO PARTICIPATE: Shop any Spartan store and purchase Spartan brand items. As you use the items, clip the UPC code from the back or bottom of the product. Once you've gathered a handful or so, bring them to church and put them in the collection bag on the bulletin board. 

Campbell's Labels for Education

For more than 30 years, Labels for Education™ has been awarding free equipment to educational programs like our Sunday School in exchange for proofs of purchase from the Campbell family of brands. It’s a fun, easy program where students, families and members of the community work together for a common goal.

DIRECTIONS TO PARTICIPATE: Purchase any of the Campbells products and collect the appropriate item from the container.  Once you have a handful collected, bring them to church and put them in the collection bag on the bulletin board.
